About Our
Organization |

The
Hill Country Master Gardeners is a service
organization helping the AgriLife Extension Service meet
the horticultural needs of the community. In
return for this service, Master Gardeners gain
extensive knowledge and share the camaraderie of
other gardeners. The type of service provided by
the Hill Country Master Gardeners varies
according to community needs and seasons of the
year. |
• Master Gardeners are available at the Kerr
County AgriLife Extension office throughout
the year to
answer
telephone inquiries related to gardening
•
Specialists
are available for home
assessments when the situation requires
•
Speakers
are available to local groups and
workshops are conducted on various topics of
interest
•
During select
Market Days at the Kerr
County Courthouse, Master Gardeners staff a
booth to answer gardening related questions
and sell greenhouse-grown plants to fund
projects
• Educational assistance is provided to help
establish community garden projects
• A
Demonstration Garden
was created and is
maintained at the Extension Office by Master
Gardeners to demonstrate recommended plants
for our area
