throughout
the
year
to
answer
telephone inquiries related to gardening.

Specialists

assessments when the situation requires.

Speakers
are available to local groups and
workshops are conducted on various topics of
interest.

Market Days,
on
the
Kerr
County
Courthouse
square,
Master
Gardeners
sell
greenhouse-grown
plants
and
the
popular
HCMG-made
rain
barrels
as
well
as
answer
gardening
related
questions.
All
proceeds
go
the
the
Horticulture
Scholarship
funded
by
the
organization.
• Educational assistance is provided to help
establish
community garden projects.
HCMG
is
currently
providing
education
and
consultant assistance
to
the
Food
Service
Department
at
Peterson
Regional
Hospital
as
they
begin
a
vegetable
garden
project
for
students
in
Ingram
Independent
School
District.
Another
HCMG
contribution
is
designing
and
helping
to
implement
a
butterfly
garden
for
use
by
the
science
department
at
Hal
Peterson
Middle
School.
• A
Demonstration Garden
was created and is
maintained at the Extension Office by Master
Gardeners to demonstrate recommended plants
for our area.
