We invite you to visit our demonstration garden at the Kerr County AgriLife Extension Office. The garden was created and is maintained by Hill Country Master Gardeners to feature attractive landscaping using plants that are native or adapted to the Hill Country. The garden also promotes water-efficient landscape design and low maintenance. Five plots of turf grass accompany the beds.
The garden is open 9 am to 12 pm and 1 pm to 5 pm Monday through Friday.  A brochure of plant names is available in the office for a self-guided tour, and if there is a Master Gardener available, you can have a personalized tour of the garden.
The County Extension Office is located at 3655 Highway 27 adjacent to the Hill Country Youth Exhibition Center.  Call 830.257.6568 for more information.

The Demonstration Garden is in full bloom with gorgeous fall colors.  Many volunteers worked this summer to clean, weed, mulch, trim, and mulch again, and their efforts have been rewarded with the best show ever in our garden. One admirer wrote that seeing the garden each morning and evening as she passed by going to and from work made her feel "happy." She included a donation to the organization to express her gratitude!

Fall in the Texas Hill Country is a welcome relief from the high temperatures of summer and provides a magnificent show.  Natives and adapted plants are paired in beautiful combinations. Here are Fall Asters, Euryops Bush Daisy, and one of the ornamental grasses.
