Gardens — that's why
we became Master Gardeners. Whether our interest is vegetable
gardening, perennials, fruits and nuts, organic, xeriscape gardening, or any combination thereof, Master Gardens
never seem to tire of viewing gardens. For a gardener, there is
much to learn and inspiration to be found in every garden. And
many who profess to have no interest in horticulture find rest,
peace, or even invigoration.
The gate is open. Come visit. |

"Here at the Garden
Conservancy, we believe that the best way to learn about gardens
and to appreciate them, is to simply spend more time in them.
Through the more than 300 gardens that will be open in 2008, we
invite you to explore first-hand examples of outstanding design
and horticultural practice that are growing in America’s
gardens."

Gardeners of central Texas have a rare opportunity to see 13 of
these select 300 gardens. The Austin Open Days Tour on October 4
includes seven gardens, and in San Antonio there are six gardens
to be seen on October 18. You can read more about these Texas
gardens by visiting
The Garden Conservancy website. |
