Gardening in the Texas Hill Country

Snow doesn't come often here in the Hill Country of Texas

 Vickie's Garden

Winter's last hurrah . . .

   Stillness . . .
a late winter snowfall brings excitement to what has been a drab, wet season.
This little Cinnamon Bunny-Ear Cactus suffers
through the uncommon snow & cold. The surrounding bluebonnets are practically buried.
Solitude . . . empty hillsides and roads — we’re not accustomed to snow!    A dusting of snow frosts variegated loropetalum and Japanese yew (forefront). By afternoon it had all melted.

No takers for this garden spot . . . not today!
