 Carol's Garden

I become more like my mother every day . . . her favorite has always been the tall bearded iris. It is my good fortune that she has shared with me many of the old iris varieties that were shared with her.
Unfortunately, these were unknown cultivars (NOIDS to those experienced irisarians). With the help of members of the Historic Iris Preservation Society, I have identified several of these pass-alongs; the challenge is to continue researching the other unknowns in my garden.
In the past year I have purchased a few modern, named iris to add to my collection. It is also my good fortune that Spring 2010 has been a perfect iris season.
