During Master Gardener classroom
training, we acquire an extensive
resource base to share with our
community. Even though many of you
may have been successful gardeners
in other places, gardening in the
Texas Hill Country is a whole new
world — rocky soil,
no soil, alkaline soil, droughts,
water rationing, floods, deer,
armadillos, skunks, etc. Our Master
Gardeners are trained to deal with
most of these issues and gladly
share their knowledge and reference
websites.
We have three types of resource
information to offer here. One is a
list of
gardening
articles we think are of interest and are
particularly applicable to our area.
Some articles were written by HCMG
members and others are public domain
or special permission articles. All
are in PDF format (viewable with
Adobe Reader) and can be viewed
easily and quickly. The second
type of resource information offered
is a list of other
websites
that we have found to be especially
helpful. Lastly, we have
included
book reviews
written by members of HCMG. These
are favorite books — some serious,
some fun, all gardening related. |
