The Hill Country Youth Ranch (HCYR), located at 3522 Junction Highway in Ingram.  HCYR is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation licensed by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission.


Their mission is to provide a safe, loving, and life-enhancing Christian environment for children and young adults.  Hill Country Master Gardener’s role is to educate its residents, aged from 5 to 18, on topics such as growing herbs, flowers and vegetables, insects, vermiculture, composting, pollinators and soil development to name a few.  Gardeners have access to a large greenhouse with numerous raised beds as well as a 1-acre garden on the campus.

Hill Country Texas Master Gardeners

Hill Country Master Gardeners is a service organization helping the AgriLife Extension Service meet the horticultural needs of the community.

 

Mission Statement

The mission of the Hill Country Master Gardener Association is to support the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service by providing research-based information and education to the community on the best practices of horticulture and environmental stewardship.
