Hill Country Master Gardeners provide weekly classes teaching gardening start to finish for kids and adults in Fredericksburg.  The fruits and vegetables get distributed back to needy people in the community. 

Executive Summary: The Hive Collective is a nonprofit-run community and youth center based in Fredericksburg, TX. Our mission is to provide a safe, enriching, and creative space for local families and youth through educational, physical, artistic, and wellness programs. The center will include dynamic features like an indoor playground, ninja warrior course, classrooms, a dance/fitness studio, a community garden, a small library, an outdoor music venue, and a healthy food bar and café serving nutritious meals, snacks, and beverages.

‍Mission Statement: To cultivate a thriving community by nurturing creativity, movement, learning, nourishment, and connection in a welcoming space for youth and families.

‍Vision: A vibrant, inclusive hub where children, teens, and adults can learn, play, create, eat well, and grow-together. 

Objectives:

  • Open a fully operational, nonprofit community center

  • Serve 500+ youth and families in the first year

  • Offer weekly fitness, dance, music, art, tutoring classes, and accredited classes

  • Host monthly family events, workshops, and outdoor concerts

  • Launch a healthy café menu focused on kids and families

  • Partner with local schools, churches, wellness professionals, farms and nonprofits

  • Give the youth of our community and families somewhere to go and something to do

Hill Country Texas Master Gardeners

Hill Country Master Gardeners is a service organization helping the AgriLife Extension Service meet the horticultural needs of the community.

 

Mission Statement

The mission of the Hill Country Master Gardener Association is to support the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service by providing research-based information and education to the community on the best practices of horticulture and environmental stewardship.
